After triggering a help signal, you will receive confirmation that help is on your way and the status of your response team will be continuously updated.

Multiple Ways to Connect

Unit-to-unit wireless connectivity allows you to control the inReach Mini to send and receive messages using a compatible Garmin handheld, wearable or mobile device. GPS-based location tracking can be used to share your whereabouts with family at home or colleagues in the field. You can also post your adventures on social media. For basic navigation, there is a compass that shows obstacles and distances along the route or direction of your destination.

With ANT+ wireless technology, you can use the remote control to view incoming messages, send preset messages, start and stop tracking, and start or cancel SOS on compatible Garmin devices*.

Pair with Your Mobile Device

To make it even more reliable and easy, the free Earthmate app syncs your inReach handheld via Bluetooth® wireless technology with your Apple® or Android™ device so you can access unlimited maps, aerial imagery and US NOAA charts. Plus, Earthmate makes it easy for you to use all of inReach's features on your paired mobile device. For easier messaging, you can also access your phone's contact list from the Earthmate app to connect more quickly.

Pair with Garmin Pilot™

In the world of aviation, the inReach Mini has become a very important air communication link. When paired via Bluetooth to a compatible tablet or smartphone with the Garmin Pilot appinReach Mini makes it easy to send and receive text messages while in the cockpit — even from areas cellular reception is not available. This application s the contact list of your smart device so that access is more simple and smooth. And because your inReach Mini is also a handheld GPS, Garmin Pilot can leverage its solid position information to move the geoferred aircraft position symbol on the moving map view on the tablet. Additionally, for those who follow you on the ground, inReach Mini can track your flights via the web-based MapShare™ page created for your inReach account. You can also link to them on Facebook® or Twitter®.

Additional Flight Services

The inReach Mini is also a supported device for Lockheed Martin Flight Services (LMFS) Adverse Condition Alerting Service (ACAS), Surveillance-Enhanced Search and Rescue (SE-SAR) and Enhanced Special Reporting Services (eSRS). If you register for ACAS information, an alert sent via LMFS asks you to hold a briefing to address certain adverse conditions that may affect the planned flight route. Likewise, the automated monitoring provided by the SE-SAR service enables the system to identify potential situations and/or flight emergency signals to immediately carry out search and rescue procedures for your aircraft.

Know the Weather While on the Go

The optional weather forecast service in inReach provides detailed updates directly to your inReach Mini or any compatible device with the built-in Earthmate app, so you can keep track of forecast conditions on the road. Basic and premium weather packages are offered. And you can request weather forecasts for your current location or other waypoints or destinations on your itinerary

Strong, durable, impact resistant (MIL-STD-810F) and waterproof rated up to IPX7 , the inReach Mini is built to keep you flying and running. The device comes with a built-in lithium battery that can be charged for up to 50 hours of use in the default 10-minute tracking mode and up to 20 days in power-saving mode. Can be recharged with a microUSB power cord or 12-V in-vehicle charger.
