Using the Iridium satellite network worldwide, this portable go-anydevice allows you to exchange text messages with any mobile number or e-mail address - when using GPS to track and share the progress of your trip. You can also send to social media or even communicate in Reach-to-inReach on the field.

If a risk situation occurs, you can also use InReach to trigger an SOS to the 24/7 monitoring center, text back and forth about your emergency, and get confirmation when help is on the way.

The inReach device sends a waypoint at a pre-selected time interval so that followers can track your whereabouts online. You can also invite crews at home to use MapShare to ping the Reach unit and view your GPS location, track movements and exchange messages during your trip. You can even embed your MapShare page on blogs, websites or social media.

For more ability and comfort, the free Earthmate® app will synchronize your device via Bluetooth® with your compatible Apple® or Android ™ device¹ so you can access unlimited maps, aerial imagery and NOAA AS Plus graphics, Earthmate allows you to easily use all inReach features on your partner's mobile device.
